How To Choose A Wall TV Mount
That’s wonderful; you just purchased your very first Plasma or LCD television and now you have to think about where you’re going to put it and if you’re going to mount it. If you’re thinking about mounting it, the question becomes, “which wall TV mount should I use?” There are various types of wall TV mounts. Here are three types you may want to consider: the dual-arm articulating wall mount, the adjustable tilt TV mount, and the swivel wall TV mount. These are by far the most common types of wall mounts that people choose.
There are mainly two things to focus on when considering the various types of wall TV mounts available to you; the first one is, where are you planning to mount your television and second, how are you going to use it? By use it, I mean do you need to be able to move the angle of the screen vertically or horizontally for better or varied viewing?
Will you be mounting it in your living room, entertainment room or bedroom? If your going to mount it in your bedroom, you may want to be able to adjust the angle of the screen for better viewing while lying down on your bed. If you’ll be mounting your new television in your living room or entertainment room at a fixed height and angle then a standard non-tilting less expensive mount will do the job. The wall TV mounts that cost the most do the most.
Your product or owners manual that comes with your new television should have information and recommendations for a television mount. If it doesn’t recommend one flat out it, it should give you the specifics of what to look for when choosing one. Things like the height, width, length and weight of your TV. Make sure you have all this information when you start shopping around for your mount. These are important things to know.
Also, keep in mind that most wall TV mounts can accommodate various television screen sizes. Some can accommodate a screen size from 32" to 60" and larger. This is good to know incase you want to upgrade screen size someday. One more thing to consider is the wall you’re planning to use. Make sure the wall is strong enough to hold the combined weight of the television and wall mount. If you’re not sure, you can always hire a professional to check your wall and do the mounting set up for you.
These are the basic facts to consider when sorting through the various wall TV mounts that are available in today’s market place. I hope you find this information helpful, and that you get great satisfaction and enjoyment from your new television.
